Broomfield Park 2024 Updates

Posted on:

There are several changes for Broomfield Park Medical Centre for 2024, please see below.

New Practice Manager

We have a new Practice Manager, Dale Ball who joined us in December 2023. Dale is working on projects relating to technology and efficiencies to improve the practice and enhance patient care. If you have any questions for Dale, please contact the surgery and he will be happy to help.

POD

We are making you aware that the NHS is closing the Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service on the 31st March 2024. From this date, you will NOT be able to order repeat prescriptions using the POD service.

Therefore, you will need to use the new method of ordering your prescription which will be via the NHS app or by logging into your NHS account at NHS.uk. Patients will need to have already signed up to our Online Services to use this feature in the NHS App.

If you are unable to use this method or are having difficulty, please contact the practice and we will be able to support you.

For more information, please check the website for further information.

We apologise for any initial inconvenience this may cause; however, this change is outside of the practice’s control.

Patient Participation Group

Broomfield Park Medical Centre is committed to ensuring that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided by our practice.

We routinely ask for and act on the views of our registered patients. This includes involving our patients in decisions that lead to changes to the services we provide, either directly or in our capacity as gatekeeper to other services.

We engage patients through the use of Patient Reference Groups (PRGs) and seek views from wider groups of practice patients through regular local practice surveys. The outcomes of the engagement and the views of our patients are routinely published on this website.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our Patient Reference Group and helping to shape the nature of health services provided in your local community, please complete the form on our website.
